Principal Account Architect
This role will see you providing the vision, technical leadership and architectural governance across a broad spectrum of technology arenas (including Public Cloud) within one of our major accounts. The client is undergoing a major transformation programme, so there is plenty of opportunity to expand your skills and knowledge, given the diverse pipeline of work ahead.
You will work in a well-respected and established team of talented professionals who are seen as technology leaders and innovators in the Datacom business. As a senior member of our team, you will share our common language and contribute to the development of our value proposition by providing thought leadership and challenging the status quo. This role is not just about your technical capability; it’s about how you can influence, encourage and support our client to make informed decisions about how technology can best support the business.
This is a multifaceted role with key responsibilities detailed below:
- Maintains a strong understanding of clients’ industry and business, assists clients in the formation of IT strategies, and acts to ensure that they are offered products and services aligned to these strategies.
- Captures and prioritises market and environmental trends, business strategies and objectives, and identifies the business benefits of alternative strategies.
- Contributes to business development opportunities, prepares and presents business cases and negotiates at senior level on technical and commercial issues.
- Manages relationships with multiple, senior stakeholders to build a high level of trust
- Provide architectural leadership to internal account and delivery teams
- Acts as an inspirational and pro-active technology leader in a complex, fast paced Managed Services environment
As such we require a mix of consulting, client and technical skills, including:
- Proven track record in delivering high quality Architectural services for large, complex infrastructure outsourcing engagements.
- A comprehensive understanding of the solution delivery lifecycle and architectural frameworks including TOGAF
- A detailed understanding across a wide range of technologies including Public Cloud
- A solid understanding of service management and service architecture in an IT Managed Services environment.
- Proven experience in leading the development, negotiation and implementation of solutions within an IT Managed Service environment.
- Strong communication/collaboration skills with a proven ability to influence
