An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Analyst Programmer to join the Brisbane Software Solutions team. The Software Solutions team works with customers to design software solutions that will integrate with their existing software, solve business problems, and create market differentiation for their business. We specialise in a variety of applications from Microsoft CRM solutions, SharePoint upgrades and redesigns, .Net custom developments and many more.

Responsibilities: 

As a Senior Analyst Programmer, your duties will include but are not limited to:
  • Working with customers to understand their business needs, using group workshops and individual interviews
  • Clearly articulating customer requirements both verbally and  in agreed templates 
  • Formulating recommendations using research and analysis skills to articulate clear plans to meet the customer's needs
  • Communicating delivery initiatives clearly both verbally and in writing conformant to agreed document templates and processes
  • Anticipating delivery challenges and devising suitable work-arounds in collaboration with the Team Leader, Project Manager and/or Customer 
  • Ensuring quality outcomes through the use of effective testing 
    Providing accurate reporting information through the use of internal processes and systems 
  • Providing accurate estimates and timeframes for assigned work 
    Proactively working to resolve roadblocks, revising estimates and providing solutions to delivery challenges 
  • Collaborating continually with all project stakeholders
    Mentoring team members; and 
  • Assisting in defining software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation.
Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate will possess the followings skills and experience:
  • A minimum of 5 years software delivery experience
  • Commercial software development, consulting or Technical Business Analysis experience desirable
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle, Software Development Practices, Testing Methodologies, Required Development Languages / Platforms
  • Strong technical background
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex technical requirements 
    A willingness to take on allocated tasks and always deliver to meet customer expectations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Excellent professional presentation and conduct 
  • Personal time management; and
  • Leading and mentoring skills.
Use of JIRA, Git, Active Directory, Visual Studio C#, MVC, ASP.net, PhoneGap, JQuery, JSON, AJAX, SQL, iOS and Microsoft Platforms would be advantageous.
