The Role
Due to our continued growth and project demand, we are looking for a star SQL Database Consultant to join our team.
 
You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle from requirements gathering through to implementation and you will be the face of our operation to our customers, where your focus will be on the delivery of real business outcomes.  You will be involved in a wide variety of projects, such as: Design and build of large enterprise SQL platforms, High Availability and Disaster Recovery architecture design, performance tuning, SQL server consolidation planning and more!
 
Ideally you will have the following:
  • Confidence and desire to deal with customers directly, in a sole capacity as well as within a team capacity
  • 6+ years of experience as a Senior Microsoft SQL Consultant
  • Experience with designing and working with latest versions of Microsoft SQL Server (2012, 2014, 2016); including HA & DR technology
  • Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
  • Experience in implementing operational automation using scripts
  • A desire to learn new technologies including non-relational databases, AWS and Azure functionality, and anything else database related that the future sends our way
  • Proven experience in an ITIL or similar based organisation

 

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong desire and capability of working with customers directly, have a strong technical aptitude and be innovative.  Excellent communication and documentation skills are a must.  Being a team player is key, as is being able to work independently and self-manage.
